President Lee Dispatches Former Lawmaker KyungSook Yang as Special Envoy to Costa Rican Presidential Inauguration
Kang Yoojung, Chief Presidential Spokesperson, announced that the government will dispatch former National Assembly member Yang Kyungsook as President Lee Jaemyung's special envoy to attend the inauguration ceremony of Costa Rican President Laura Fernandez. The inauguration ceremony for President Fernandez will take place on May 8, 2026.

Chief Spokesperson Kang explained, "Special Envoy Yang will attend events related to the inauguration, including a reception hosted by the Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Affairs and an inauguration reception hosted by the new President." Kang added, "She will convey the Lee Jaemyung administration's commitment to strengthening practical cooperation in a variety of fields, including the economy, infrastructure, and education."
