Comprehensive Special Prosecutor Bans Han Dong-hoon from Overseas Travel... Han Says "No Election Interference"
The second comprehensive special prosecutor's team, led by Kwon Changyoung, has imposed a travel ban on Han Donghoon, former leader of the People Power Party, in connection with allegations of interference by the presidential office in the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office investigation.
On May 5, the special prosecutor's team announced to the press, "We have imposed a travel ban on the former representative," explaining, "This is because a complaint was filed naming him as the accused in the case involving allegations of interference by the presidential office in the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office investigation."

Previously, a civic group filed a special prosecutor complaint against seven individuals, including the presidential office, prosecutors, former President Yoon Suk Yeol, former representative Han Donghoon, former Prosecutor General Lee Wonseok, and prosecutors involved in the investigation at that time, on charges of abuse of authority and subornation of perjury, alleging that the presidential office and the prosecution manipulated the Ssangbangwool remittance case.
On the same day, former representative Han Donghoon stated on social media, "The so-called second comprehensive special prosecutor under the Lee Jaemyung administration has imposed a travel ban on me," and criticized, "Last year, the Chae Sangbyung special prosecutor imposed a travel ban on me for an absurd reason, conducted no investigation, and concluded the case as a political investigation. This special prosecutor is repeating the same overreach."
He continued, "Even when the Democratic Party asked to call me as a witness for the parliamentary investigation into the dismissal of President Lee Jaemyung's indictment, they could not do so, and now the Democratic Party and political special prosecutors are repeating mere theatrics. Once again, I say, 'If you want to go ahead, do it.' But election interference is unacceptable," he added.
