Experience Rice Planting at the Wito Paddy Field of Sejong the Great's Royal Tomb
Experience Activities Including Injeolmi Rice Cake Pounding
The Sejong the Great Royal Tombs Management Office of the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center announced on May 6 that it will host a rice planting experience event at the Witodap field of the Sejong the Great's Royal Tomb on May 23. Witodap refers to land set aside to cover expenses for rituals and other needs.
Participants will level the rice paddy using a 'seore', a traditional farming tool pulled by two oxen, and then plant rice seedlings. After planting, participants can also experience activities such as pounding rice cake for making Injeolmi and creating flower pots.
