On April 30, Acrylic announced that the two companies had signed a main agreement to jointly develop and operate medical AI technology and platforms, as well as infrastructure and services across the board.
This agreement is a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed in November 2025, and its core is to build a comprehensive cooperation model to meet the digital transformation needs of Uzbekistan’s medical institutions. Both sides plan to gradually expand cooperation in various areas, including hospital information systems (HIS), AI healthcare infrastructure, regulatory and certification frameworks, and the training of specialized personnel.
To begin with, the two companies will jointly design and build a next-generation HIS platform for local hospitals. In addition, they plan to establish an AI healthcare research and development base and transfer operational know-how, while also reviewing regulatory procedures for software as a medical device (SaMD). They will support the establishment of local certification systems for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and operate educational programs for medical professionals and technical personnel in parallel.
Uzbekistan is considered one of the fastest-growing countries for the AI industry in Central Asia. The government is currently promoting more than 100 AI projects across various fields, including education, healthcare, finance, and industry, and has outlined a goal of achieving USD 1.5 billion in related service revenue by 2030 through its “AI Technology Development Strategy 2030.” In particular, healthcare has been designated as a priority sector for AI adoption, and opportunities are expanding for companies with relevant technologies.
Acrylic has already accumulated experience in the local medical IT business. In 2023, it completed the establishment of a HIS for the 200-bed Fourth Hospital, and in 2024, it formed a consortium with Kangwon National University Hospital to conduct a maternal and child healthcare IT assessment and improvement project in the Karakalpakstan region.
Based on these references, Acrylic plans to further expand its partnership with UZINFOCOM and accelerate its entry into the Central Asian healthcare AX market with Uzbekistan as its base. The company also aims to broaden its global presence by leveraging its proprietary solutions, such as the hospital information system “NADIA” and the AI infrastructure platform “JONATHAN,” along with its healthcare-specialized AI technologies.
Nuslan, Director of E-Health at UZINFOCOM, stated, “Acrylic is a trusted partner with proven AI infrastructure technology and experience in healthcare. Through this collaboration, we aim to achieve meaningful results in Uzbekistan and build a model that can be expanded across Central Asia.”
An Acrylic representative said, “UZINFOCOM has chosen Acrylic as its partner for digital health research and development. Based on our accumulated experience in AI and healthcare commercialization and our local track record, we will accelerate the construction of medical AX infrastructure.”
