Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation Launches Relay Meetings in 31 Cities and Counties to Minimize Policy Gaps Ahead of Local Elections
The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation has launched a relay series of meetings across 31 cities and counties.
On April 29, the foundation announced that it had begun the "On-site ON·Empathy ON·Policy ON 'ON-da! Popup Store'" relay meetings in Namyangju. The initiative aims to minimize policy support gaps during the transition period before the local elections and proactively incorporate the voices from local cities and counties into policy agendas.
This relay of meetings has been organized to directly examine the management realities faced by small business owners and SMEs who are struggling due to prolonged high interest rates, rising prices, and growing external uncertainty. It also seeks to gain a more detailed understanding of the industrial conditions and policy needs unique to each region.
The foundation plans to sequentially visit all 31 cities and counties in the province, listen to on-site difficulties, and proactively identify highly effective policy agendas that residents can tangibly experience.
In particular, these meetings go beyond simply gathering opinions. They are part of establishing a Gyeonggi Province-specific financial platform that organically links local on-site needs to guarantee support policies and strengthens cooperation with city and county governments.

The first meeting was held in Namyangju.
At the meeting, the foundation shared key policy directions and support projects based on the "2025 Gyeonggi Province Small Business White Paper," and listened to local companies' management challenges and suggestions for system improvements.
To date, the foundation has supported the expansion of the local growth base by providing special guarantees to companies in strategic industries in Namyangju, including hydrogen convergence clusters, renewable energy, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI)-based cloud computing, and the ECO industry.

Si Seokjung, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, emphasized, "Good policies are not created by someone else on our behalf; they are truly completed when field sites and policy agencies work together. The foundation will shift away from its traditional supplier-centered policy design and move toward a field-centered, demand-driven policy paradigm, visiting all 31 cities and counties to carefully listen to voices from the ground."
