International Electric Overhauls CI for 80th Anniversary... Strengthens Role as Energy Infrastructure Enabler
International Electric Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Sun-ho) announced that it has dramatically revamped its corporate identity (CI) to mark its 80th anniversary.
The new logo modernizes the existing symbol representing power and energy transmission, inheriting the company's 80-year heritage while embodying a forward-looking image. The bold diagonal graphic motif emphasizes the brand’s progressiveness and innovation, while the color palette—featuring Energy Orange and various green tones—visualizes the company’s role as an enabler in expanding sustainable energy infrastructure.
International Electric was founded on October 26, 1946, as Korea’s first specialized transformer manufacturer, "International Transformer Manufacturing Plant." The company has grown through the independent development of its own technologies. It supplies a wide range of electrical power equipment, including distribution transformers, railway transformers, and UPS systems. Its product quality has been recognized by domestic and international power generation companies and railway organizations, including Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and Korea Electric Power Corporation, to which it continues to supply products.
International Electric achieved its best performance since its founding last year. Last year's sales reached 142.5 billion won, up about 60% from the previous year, and operating profit also increased by approximately 57%. In addition, the export ratio remained at a similar level to the previous year, accounting for about 70% of total sales.
Meanwhile, International Electric is on the verge of signing a long-term supply contract for large volumes with a leading global power equipment company. If this contract is concluded, it is expected to mark a significant turning point by securing stable demand in the global market and driving further sales growth.
