Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced that it participated in the 'Y-FARM EXPO (Return to Farming and Rural Residency Attraction Expo)' held at Suwon Convention Center from April 24 to 26, 2026, actively promoting return-to-farming and rural residency programs.
This event, hosted by Yonhap News Agency, featured a variety of programs, including Institutional Promotion Hall, Return to Farming and Rural Residency Hall, Smart Agriculture Hall, Children’s Education and Green Hall, and Experience Zone.
At the expo, Hamyang County, together with the Return to Farming and Rural Residency Association, exhibited and sold local agricultural products and processed goods, while simultaneously offering consultations on returning to farming and rural residency. They provided practical settlement information to urban visitors.

At the consultation booth, a video was presented featuring case studies on the operation of the Stay-Type Agricultural Startup Support Center, which helped visitors better understand the educational programs. Some attendees even inquired about enrolling in the program, demonstrating high levels of interest.
Additionally, the county highlighted examples of urban migrants who had started businesses such as workshops, cafes, and bakeries in Hamyang, emphasizing that a wide range of entrepreneurial opportunities are available in rural areas.
Alongside these activities, Hamyang also promoted local tourism resources, including the 'Oreul GO Hamyang' campaign, attracting further interest from visitors.

A county official stated, "This expo served as an opportunity to provide practical information to urban residents interested in returning to farming and rural life, and to promote Hamyang as a region where stable settlement and entrepreneurship are possible." The official added, "We will continue to make efforts to revitalize return-to-farming and rural residency through diverse promotional activities and support policies."
