Gyeongnam Governor Park Wansu Urges Seamless Provincial Administration for Residents Ahead of Election Bid
"Although I will be temporarily absent due to the upcoming election, provincial affairs must continue to be carried out seamlessly under the leadership of the two deputy governors."
On the morning of April 27, Governor Park Wansu of Gyeongnam Province made this request while presiding over a meeting with the directors and heads of departments at the provincial government office, ahead of his official candidacy announcement for the 9th nationwide local elections.

Governor Park urged, "All executives and staff must work together to fulfill their responsibilities and roles in provincial affairs," emphasizing, "There must be no negligence in public livelihood support projects and disaster prevention work, both of which are directly linked to the daily lives of residents."
He also stated, "Continue to serve the residents with unwavering dedication as always and fulfill your duties as public officials to uphold the status of Gyeongnam."
Governor Park went on to identify the smooth provision of the 'Resident Living Support Fund,' which will be distributed to all residents starting from April 30 to revitalize the local economy, as the top priority task.
He instructed, "Carefully review the timing and procedures to ensure that residents receive the benefits promptly, and handle the administrative process with speed."
Additionally, he said, "As May is Family Month, there will be many events and outdoor activities, so thoroughly prevent safety accidents," and ordered, "Always maintain a 24-hour response system to prepare for natural disasters such as wildfires and heavy rain, which are difficult to predict due to climate change."
Governor Park reiterated, "There can be no days off when it comes to protecting the lives and property of residents," and once again urged a thorough response to disaster-related issues.
