This visit was arranged so the mayor could directly witness the difficulties faced by local residents due to high oil prices and inflation, and to establish a virtuous cycle in the local economy by strengthening the competitiveness of Goyang's local food sector.
At the site, Mayor Lee carefully inspected the fresh agricultural products, which were packaged and displayed by the farmers themselves, and listened to customer satisfaction and suggestions from citizens shopping at the store. Through this, he reaffirmed the trust that Goyang's "one-day distribution principle" and "producer labeling system" provide to consumers—key strengths of the city’s local food initiative.
