41-Year-Old Ronaldo Maintains 7% Body Fat... "I Never Eat This"
Personal Chef: "60% Diet, 40% Exercise"
Excludes Milk and Sugar, Focuses on Vegetables and Protein
The diet of world-renowned Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo (41) is once again drawing attention. The key to his ability to maintain top-level performance even past the age of forty is reportedly his strict avoidance of milk and sugar in his eating habits.
On April 25 (Korean time), the American media outlet Showbiz Cheat Sheet published an interview with chef Giorgio Barone, who was responsible for Ronaldo's diet from 2018 to 2021.
Barone stated that Ronaldo maintains a "small, frequent meals" diet focused on protein. He explained, "The important thing is 60% diet and 40% exercise," and added, "The human body is like a car. Even a good car cannot run properly if you put in the wrong fuel." He further emphasized, "I've worked with athletes from various countries, but the importance of diet is always the same."

Barone commented, "Humans are the only animals that drink another animal's milk," and added, "Drinking milk after infancy is unnatural."
Sugar is also completely excluded. He said, "Sugar is poison to the body," stressing, "Ronaldo does not add sugar even to his coffee." In fact, at a 2020 press conference, Ronaldo drew attention when he removed a bottle of cola from the table and said, "Drink water."
Ronaldo's diet is simple and consistent. Breakfast consists of eggs, avocado, whole wheat bread, coffee, and water, with all sweet flavors strictly avoided. His usual meals are also centered on organic ingredients such as vegetables, chicken, and grains. Pork is consumed only in limited amounts due to its high fat content, and at most, it is allowed only about once a week.
Fiber and vitamins are also important components. Barone said, "Fiber is one of the nutrients that must be included in the daily diet," and added, "I have never prepared a meal without vegetables." He also emphasized the intake of essential nutrients, including vitamin D.
