Namhae County Launches Emergency Relief Amid Soaring Oil Prices
Up to 600,000 Won in Support
Applications Open April 27 for Vulnerable Groups, May 18 for General Households
Namhae County in South Gyeongsang Province will provide "high oil price relief payments" to alleviate the economic burden on residents caused by rising international oil prices.
The recipients are residents who are registered in Namhae County as of March 30, 2026. The amount of support varies by eligible group.
For vulnerable groups, 600,000 won will be provided per person to basic livelihood security recipients, and 500,000 won per person to near-poverty groups and single-parent families. Among general households, those in the bottom 70% income bracket will receive 250,000 won per person.

Detailed selection criteria for the second application group, such as health insurance premium standards, will be announced separately in May.
Recipients can choose to receive the support as credit/check card points or as Namhae Love Gift Certificates. Online applications can be made through card company websites and apps, or the Namhae Love Gift Certificate app. Offline applications can be submitted at the administrative welfare centers in each town or township of the resident's address, as well as at partner bank branches linked to the card issuers.
The relief payments can be used at Namhae Love Gift Certificate加盟 stores within Namhae County, including Hanaro Mart locations in town areas, and at stores with annual sales of 3 billion won or less (when using a card). The provided support must be used by August 31, 2026, to promote the local economy. Any unused amount after this period will be automatically forfeited.
