Gyeongsan City Recruiting Companies for "Hearty Lunch for Office Workers" Program
"Easing the Burden of Lunch Expenses"
20% Subsidy on Lunch Dining Costs for Office Workers
Gyeongsan City announced that, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, it will be recruiting participating companies for the "2026 Hearty Lunch for Office Workers" pilot program until May 31, 2026. The initiative aims to alleviate lunch expenses for employees and revitalize the local dining economy.
This program supports 20% of the cost of dining out at lunchtime for employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with the goal of reducing the actual meal expenses of workers and encouraging the use of local restaurants.
The support is available for employees currently working at SMEs as defined by the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises. The company must either already provide meal allowances to employees or plan to do so in order to participate.
The subsidy applies to dining expenses incurred from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on weekdays, with each individual eligible to receive up to 40,000 won per month.
Companies wishing to participate can apply either by visiting the Food and Drug Division at Gyeongsan City Health Center or by email.
Required documents and detailed information can be found on the websites of Gyeongsan City Hall and Gyeongsan City Health Center.
