The 28th Butterfly Festival in Hampyeong County, themed "Dreaming Butterfly, The Beginning Journey," will run from today until May 5 at the Hampyeong Expo Park and surrounding areas.
The opening ceremony began with a pre-event performance, followed by a commemorative speech, greetings from special guests, a dance performance by children from a daycare center, and an introduction of distinguished guests. During the butterfly release event that followed, butterflies in a variety of colors soared into the sky, marking the official start of the festival.
Numerous visitors, children, and local residents who came to the festival participated in the opening ceremony, witnessing the release of the butterflies and sharing in the excitement of the festival’s commencement. The venue was filled with the vibrant energy of guests eager to enjoy the spring celebration.
After the opening ceremony, attendees moved to Nabipark, a newly unveiled attraction for this year’s festival, where they held an additional opening event and toured major facilities, celebrating the successful launch of the festival together.
The 28th Hampyeong Butterfly Festival features a wide array of programs designed to allow visitors to experience the beauty of life amid nature, where butterflies and spring flowers flourish.
