JDC and Jeju Energy Corporation Sign Agreement for Renewable Energy Transition Cooperation
Expanding the Adoption of Renewable Energy
and Promoting Joint Business Model Development
Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) has signed an "Energy Transition Cooperation Agreement for Achieving RE100" with Jeju Energy Corporation, establishing a systematic partnership to expand the adoption of renewable energy and strengthen the foundation for energy self-sufficiency.

View original imageUnder the agreement, the two organizations will work together to expand the supply of renewable energy such as solar power at JDC business sites and jointly review various RE100 implementation methods, including the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) and self-generation. They also agreed to collaborate on technical consulting for the construction and operation of renewable energy facilities, as well as to discover new regional business opportunities.
JDC Chairman Song Seok-eon emphasized, "This agreement will serve as a foundation for systematically promoting JDC’s achievement of RE100," and added, "We will focus on identifying related projects to ensure sustainable energy use." Choi Myung-dong, President of Jeju Energy Corporation, responded, "Based on the corporation’s technical expertise, we will ensure the seamless implementation of practical cooperation projects."

With this partnership, JDC plans to gradually materialize its renewable energy transition initiatives and further expand energy transition through joint business models tailored to local conditions.
