Five-Minute Free Speech by Assemblyman Park Sechae
The Gumi City Council in North Gyeongsang Province concluded its seven-day legislative schedule with the 2nd Plenary Session of the 295th Extraordinary Session, held in the main chamber on April 21, 2026.
Prior to the plenary session, Assemblyman Park Sechae emphasized the need for immediate and practical support to help small business owners overcome management burdens caused by the Middle East crisis during a five-minute free speech. He called for urgent financial support measures, such as emergency funding and easing of loan requirements, as well as the establishment of structural solutions.
During the session, the council addressed a total of 20 agenda items, including 15 ordinance bills—seven of which were proposed by assembly members and reviewed by each standing committee—and five consent bills.

Vice Chairman Yang Jin-o concluded the session by expressing gratitude in his closing remarks, stating, “I would like to thank my fellow council members for their passionate legislative activities aimed at improving citizens’ welfare and regional development during this extraordinary session, as well as the government officials who cooperated to ensure smooth council operations.”
