An incident occurred at a farm in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, where five deer escaped.
Gwangmyeong City: "Search operation underway"
According to Yonhap News on April 22, at around 12:32 p.m. that day, five deer escaped from a deer farm in Okgil-dong, Gwangmyeong City. At the time, fire authorities were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report from the farm owner, Mr. A, stating that "ten deer have escaped." However, after checking nearby closed-circuit (CC) TV footage, it was confirmed that the actual number of escaped deer was five. Of these, three were adults and two were fawns.
At 2:33 p.m. on the same day, Gwangmyeong City issued a disaster alert via text message, notifying residents of the situation and urging, "Please pay attention to your safety and report any sightings to 119 or the city hall."
It was found that Mr. A's farm was raising around 30 deer, including the ones that escaped. An official from the city stated, "City officials are on-site conducting a search operation to locate the escaped deer."

Neukgu dug under the safari fence and escaped at around 9:18 a.m. on April 8. Afterwards, search authorities continued to track the wolf mainly around the O-World area. Eventually, Neukgu's location was confirmed near Anyoung IC at 11:45 p.m. on April 16, and a capture operation began at 12:15 a.m. on the 17th. Neukgu was caught at 12:44 a.m. on the same day and was subsequently transported back to O-World.
