Amoje Food Wins Catering Service Contract for '2027 Chungcheong Summer World University Games'
Amoje Food (CEO: Shin Hee-ho) has once again demonstrated its capabilities in managing international sports events by being selected as the preferred negotiator for the catering service contract for the '2027 Chungcheong Summer World University Games.'
This large-scale project covers all aspects of food and beverage services, including the operation of athlete village and stadium restaurants, meal box supply, and VIP catering. The company will provide international-standard catering services to more than 9,000 athletes and staff from about 150 countries.
Based on 30 years of expertise in the food service industry, Amoje Food has successfully managed major international events such as the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, and the 2019 Gwangju World Aquatics Championships. Through these experiences, the company has been recognized for its stability and competitive quality in large-scale catering operations.
For this event, the company plans to establish a stable catering management system led by professionals with extensive experience in international event operations. In addition, a panel of experts in hygiene, nutrition, and culinary fields will provide advice to ensure that the food and beverage services meet global standards.
In particular, to accommodate the diverse dietary needs of multinational athlete delegations, Amoje Food will offer customized menus, including special diets such as halal, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The company also plans to enhance its nutritional planning based on the guidelines of the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
From an operations perspective, Amoje Food will establish a 24-hour, uninterrupted catering system and apply a flexible management approach that reflects changing demand according to the competition schedule. Additionally, the company will ensure both food safety and service quality through HACCP-based hygiene management and a real-time operations monitoring system.
Kim Dae-il, Executive Director and Head of Business at Amoje Food, stated, "Since the catering operations for this event will be carried out intensively over about three weeks, including the preparation period before and after the Games, we plan to form a dedicated team led by experienced managers to ensure stable operations. Taking into account the midsummer conditions in August, we will further enhance hygiene and operational management standards, utilizing accumulated international event operation manuals. We also aim to realize the value of regional co-existence by introducing the 'Chungcheong Top 10 Menu,' which features local ingredients from the Chungcheong region."
