Where Is Busan's Second Senior Healthcare Hub, the 'HAHA Campus'?
Busan City Signs Agreement with Gosin University
The second 'HAHA Campus' designated to carry out Busan's senior healthcare project has been selected as Gosin University.
On April 20, Busan Metropolitan City announced that it had signed a work agreement with Gosin University at the International Protocol Office in City Hall to establish the 'Second HAHA Campus.'
This agreement marks the second HAHA Campus project, following Busan Catholic University. The main objective is to establish a complex hub focused on medical care and caregiving by utilizing idle facilities on the Gosin University Yeongdo Campus.
Under the agreement, the city and the university will cooperate on administrative and regulatory support, diversifying investment resources, free use of school facilities, operation of the HAHA Edu Program, and the creation of outdoor sports facilities.
The project will be carried out in stages, beginning with the initial project in the second half of 2026, followed by the establishment of a master plan in 2027. In the future, it is expected to become a complex hub that combines digital-based senior healthcare, wellness, and medical tourism.
As of 2026, Busan's elderly population ratio is expected to reach 25.7%, accelerating the city's entry into a super-aged society and increasing the need to build response infrastructure.
