"AI Cat Butler Arrives"... hy Launches Pet Platform "QtoPet"
About 30% of Korean Households Have Pets
Dedicated Online Mall Established Separately from Existing Platform
On April 20, hy announced the launch of its comprehensive pet care platform, "QtoPet."
QtoPet is a lifecycle service that goes beyond selling pet food and treats to include health management and disease prediction. Considering that approximately 30% of households in Korea have pets, the company has established a dedicated online mall for QtoPet, separate from its existing hyFreddit platform.
The product lineup highlights premium pet food. The platform initially features products from the German brand Animonda and "Dr. Pol," developed by American veterinarian Jan Pol. In addition, hy has expanded its offerings with its own Petkurt brand, introducing a range of supplementary foods such as handmade snacks and nutritional treats.
The company has also strengthened its functional product selection. Three varieties of "Healthy Project Wal Pet Milk" have been renewed with hy’s patented HP7 probiotic lysate and prebiotics, focusing on digestive health.
The platform’s key differentiator is its "care service." QtoPet offers AI-based health diagnostics and microbiome analysis functions. When users upload photos of their pets, the system analyzes major health indicators, including patellar disorders. Through stool kits, it provides intestinal microbiome analysis and predicts the likelihood for seven types of conditions, including arthritis and dermatitis.
