KCC Glass Earns Top Platinum Rating in EcoVadis ESG Assessment
Top Rating in Labor and Human Rights Category
KCC Glass announced on April 16 that it has received the highest “Platinum” rating in the sustainability assessment conducted by global research organization EcoVadis, a distinction given to companies in the top 1% worldwide.
Founded in France in 2007, EcoVadis is the world’s largest ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluation organization, assessing more than 150,000 companies globally across four categories: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The evaluation results are widely used as key criteria for global corporations in selecting partners and managing supply chains.
Through this assessment, KCC Glass received a top 1% rating in the labor and human rights category and achieved significantly higher-than-average scores across all four areas. The Platinum rating recognizes KCC Glass’s world-class ESG management system and execution capabilities on a global stage.
To reduce carbon emissions, KCC Glass launched “CULLINAN,” a high-insulation Double Low-E Glass product with world-leading thermal performance. The company also introduced “SAVIRDS,” a new glass product—the first of its kind in Korea—designed to minimize collisions of wild birds with glass surfaces.
KCC Glass became the first in the world to install denitrification equipment (SCR) in its glass melting facilities, and has established environmental systems such as ceramic catalyst filters (CCF), desulfurization equipment (SDR), and dust removal equipment (EP). The company also operates solar power and waste heat recovery systems, taking the lead in improving air quality and minimizing environmental impact throughout its production processes.
In addition, KCC Glass actively participates in global initiatives such as the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). Since establishing its Human Rights Management Policy in 2023, the company has conducted annual human rights impact assessments.
