Following her donation of 10 million KRW as a development fund in June last year, she returned to the university in less than a year to make another generous contribution of 100 million KRW. The donated funds have been named the "Heo Yunseok Scholarship Fund," in honor of CEO Son's late mother, Heo Yunseok, and will be used as scholarships for students of the Department of Food Economics and Foodservice Management and the Department of Public Administration.

She showed me through her life, not just words, that happiness does not come from sharing because you have much, but from giving more and sharing within the circumstances you are given." She added, "I hope that my small donation can be of some help to students as they plan their dreams and futures."
President Choi Oechul commented, "CEO Son was greatly influenced by her mother while growing up. This led her to adopt a philosophy of giving, and her continued donations will have a profound impact on our students. On behalf of the university, I want to express our gratitude. At our university, we have established and are operating 'Social Contribution and Service' as a mandatory liberal arts course. If the opportunity arises, I would very much like to invite CEO Son as a guest speaker. We will do our utmost to ensure that the valuable development fund donated by CEO Son becomes the foundation for our students to follow in her footsteps and grow into talents who contribute to the prosperity of humanity."
With this donation of 100 million KRW, CEO Son has become a member of the "Cheonma Honors" at Yeungnam University. "Cheonma Honors" is a donor recognition program established by Yeungnam University in 2020 to honor major donors who have contributed to the university's development.
CEO Son founded Duson Co., Ltd. in 1996 and continues to operate the company to this day. She runs two Samsung Electronics specialty stores: "Samsung Store Gyeongsan" and "Samsung Store Dongho." Through her outstanding management, CEO Son has led Samsung Store Gyeongsan to rank first in nationwide sales for eight consecutive years. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in the Department of Digital Convergence Business at the Yeungnam University Graduate School, continuing her academic journey alongside her business management.
