Buyeong Group Provides Free Repairs for Aging Homes of National Merit Recipients for 29 Years
A Total of 35 Homes Repaired
Buyeong Group announced on April 16 that it has been participating in the support project for repairing aging homes of national merit recipients for 29 consecutive years. Since first joining in 1997, the company has repaired a total of 35 homes to date.
This initiative is a public-private partnership social contribution program launched by the Korea Housing Builders Association in 1994. Member construction companies cover the repair costs for homes of national merit recipients recommended by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. According to the Association, the average cost per home exceeds 10 million won. Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG) is also participating by providing rental support for homeless national merit recipients.
Now in its 32nd year, Buyeong has been a part of this program since 1997, which was relatively early in the project’s history. In recognition of its contributions, Buyeong Group has received the Presidential Citation and a plaque of appreciation from the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
A Buyeong Group official stated, "We have participated in this project to help improve the living conditions of those who have dedicated themselves to the country," adding, "We plan to continue our social contribution activities to honor and support national merit recipients."
