Jeju Air and Open Medical Association Conduct 28th Medical Volunteer Mission in Laos
Contributing to Filling Medical Gaps Across Asia for 15 Years

Jeju Air, in collaboration with the Open Medical Association, has continued its sharing initiatives for the 15th year by conducting medical volunteer activities in Laos.

View original imageJeju Air announced on April 13 that it had carried out its 28th medical volunteer mission at Vang Vieng District Hospital in Laos over three days, from April 9 to 11. A total of 31 volunteers participated, including Jeju Air employees, medical staff from the Open Medical Association, and members of the general public volunteer group.
The volunteer team provided free medical consultations and prescriptions for local residents in a range of specialties, including internal medicine, dentistry, and Korean traditional medicine. In addition to medical care, they offered interactive activities for children, such as face painting, balloon art, and art programs, fostering engagement with the local community.
Since signing a business agreement in 2011, Jeju Air and the Open Medical Association have continuously carried out medical volunteer work in Asian regions serviced by Jeju Air, including Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. Including the latest mission, they have now provided a total of 25,000 medical consultations in 21 cities across six countries.

A Jeju Air official stated, "We hope this warm partnership, which has continued for 15 years with the Open Medical Association, will help fill medical gaps for residents in underserved overseas regions," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibility through ongoing overseas volunteer activities."
