Foxsoft Begins Construction of KRW 6.56 Billion 'Next-Generation Integrated University Information Disclosure System'
The Largest Overhaul in 18 Years Since the 2008 Service Launch
Laying the Foundation for Expanding AI Services in the University Information Disclosure System
In April 2026, FOXSOFT Co., Ltd. announced that it had signed a contract worth approximately KRW 6.56 billion with the Korean Council for University Education for the "Next-Generation Integrated University Information Disclosure System Construction Project," marking the official start of a system overhaul.
This project will run for about 10 months, from March 2026 to January 2027, and is a large-scale next-generation transformation initiative aimed at reorganizing the vast amount of disclosure data accumulated since the service first launched in 2008 using the latest IT technologies.
The main innovation objectives of this project include transforming the University Information Portal’s integrated search service into an AI-based intelligent search, expanding user-based services that can recommend personalized disclosure information to each user through an intelligent inference model,
and, to support government and policy researchers, building a system that enables rapid, evidence-based higher education policy development in the face of challenges such as declining school-age populations. The system aims to facilitate rational decision-making based on more sophisticated data provided by the university information disclosure platform.
The interconnected system between the Ministry of Education, 10 item management agencies, and 409 universities (as of 2025) will also be completely rebuilt. A data governance framework will be established to re-standardize and restructure disclosure information spanning 14 fields and 103 detailed items. Through this, the company aims to enhance the work efficiency of university staff while elevating the reliability of disclosure information to the highest level.
In addition, by migrating from the existing outdated infrastructure to the cloud, the company plans to respond flexibly to rapidly increasing traffic and dramatically improve service stability.
To leverage AI technology in the University Information Disclosure System, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server will be introduced on a trial basis. The company also plans to secure compatibility with future AI foundation models and implement the basic design for advanced AI applications, such as strengthening the standard classification system for academic departments through AI learning.
