View original imageThis initiative is a customized facility improvement project that reflects the structure of each livestock facility and its breeding environment, based on the results of the "Gyeonggi-do Livestock Farm Odor Reduction Consulting Support Project."
The scale of the project is a total of 2 billion won and it will be carried out until December. Eligible recipients are livestock farms that received odor reduction consulting between 2022 and 2025. Final selection will be made through an evaluation based on their business plans and consulting results.
The selected livestock farms will receive support for improving livestock facility structures, including improvements to livestock house sealing, compost facility structure reinforcement, and manure storage tank sealing.
In addition, support will be provided for the installation of odor reduction facilities such as wet scrubbers, biofilters, and plasma deodorization units, as well as ventilation and purification equipment. Installation and renovation of livestock manure treatment facilities, such as liquid manure processing and storage, as well as composting and fermentation facilities, are also included in the project.
A city official stated, "By supporting customized facility improvements based on odor reduction consulting results, we aim to resolve odor complaints and create a foundation for livestock farms that have addressed these issues to coexist with local residents. Through this support project, we will identify exemplary farms with outstanding odor reduction performance and enhance the autonomous management capabilities of livestock farms."
Yongin Special City has continuously implemented policies to address odor issues arising from local livestock farms.
