Pyeongtaek City Holds Completion Ceremony for "Anjeong Community Plaza Construction Project"
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Jung Jang-sun) held a completion ceremony on the 2nd for the 'Anjeong Community Plaza Construction Project,' which was promoted as a support project for Pyeongtaek in connection with the relocation of the US military base.

View original imageApproximately 90 people, including the Mayor of Pyeongtaek, members of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, Pyeongtaek City Council, and local residents, attended the ceremony to celebrate the completion of the facility.
The Anjeong Community Plaza was constructed with a total project cost of 34.3 billion won (18.1 billion won from the national government and 16.2 billion won from the city budget). Construction was entrusted to Pyeongtaek Urban Corporation in December 2021.
Located on a site of 9,304 square meters, it is a multi-purpose facility featuring a plaza and a parking lot with 387 spaces across two underground levels. After preparatory work, it is scheduled to begin operation in mid-April.

Mayor Jung Jang-sun stated, "The Anjeong Community Plaza is expected to help alleviate the parking shortage in the Anjeong-ri area and revitalize the local commercial district. I hope it will become a space where citizens can relax, communicate, and spend time comfortably."
