Samsung Electronics' gaming monitors have ranked number one globally for seven consecutive years since 2019.
According to market research firm IDC on April 2, Samsung Electronics achieved the top spot in the global gaming monitor market (refresh rate of 144Hz or higher) for the seventh consecutive year in 2025, recording an 18.9% market share in terms of revenue.

View original imageLast year, shipments of gaming monitors (refresh rate of 144Hz or higher) reached 3.1 million units, growing by more than 15% compared to 2024. In the OLED monitor market, Samsung Electronics maintained the number one position for three consecutive years with a 26% market share by revenue, demonstrating its leadership in the premium segment. Last year, OLED monitor shipments reached 2.34 million units, approximately doubling compared to 2024.
Samsung Electronics is leading the gaming monitor market with innovative products that feature world-first technologies, including: the 'Odyssey 3D' glasses-free 3D monitor that maximizes visual immersion; the ultra-high-resolution 6K 'Odyssey G8'; the 4K QD-OLED 'Odyssey OLED G8' with outstanding color reproduction and a 240Hz refresh rate; and the 500Hz OLED 'Odyssey G6' boasting the industry's highest refresh rate.
From March 9 to 13, Samsung Electronics participated in the world's largest game developer conference, the 'GDC Festival of Gaming 2026,' held in San Francisco, USA, where it unveiled its 2026 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup. This month, the company will support the globally acclaimed game 'Hell Is Us' in 3D mode, and by the end of this year, it plans to expand its supported games to over 120, including 'Chronos: The New Dawn.'
Samsung Electronics is also expanding the application of 'HDR10+ Gaming,' a technology that analyzes game scenes and frames to enhance depth and deliver HDR picture quality optimized for gaming. This technology has been applied to 15 games—including 'Cyberpunk 2077,' 'Battlefield 6,' 'Crimson Desert,' 'Borderlands 4,' and 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 7'—and to 7 development platforms, including Unreal Engine.
