On this occasion as well, he inspected the newly opened pedestrian sections and listened to the opinions of nearby merchants and residents.
The Jungang-daero Nokdo area is a road site that was created in the 1970s during the development of the planned city, with future road expansion in mind. Citizens have continuously voiced concerns that the road and adjacent areas are disconnected, resulting in difficulties with pedestrian accessibility and space utilization. Despite its status as a major gateway to the city, there has been a consistent need for redevelopment because the area has not sufficiently served as a public space for citizens.
In response, the city has allocated a total project budget of 2.63 billion won to enhance urban accessibility and convenience for citizens, and is redeveloping the approximately 1.1-kilometer stretch of Nokdo from Ansancheon to the Hanyang Building intersection as a public space.

Through these efforts, the city plans to enhance both pedestrian safety and convenience for those using Jungang-daero.
