It focuses on helping children naturally develop reading habits by repeatedly engaging in the process of choosing, reading, and expressing themselves about books, rather than having a one-off reading experience.
Yes24 will recommend age-appropriate books for infants, first and second graders, third and fourth graders, and fifth and sixth graders in elementary school. After reading, children will be able to participate in online quizzes and activities such as book reports and book-inspired drawings. Through these participation-based programs, children will be supported in experiencing both the sense of accomplishment that comes from finishing a book and the joy of self-expression.
Until April 22, the company is holding a voting event titled "Please Choose the Books to Read Together in 2026." If participants select three or more books among the 210 nominated titles recommended by a panel of 12 selectors—including Choi Naya, professor of child studies at Seoul National University; Park Hyunju, Director of Education at the Korea School Librarians Association; and Choi Jia, Director at Yesella Daechi Reading Literacy Center—they will receive reading support funds.
The nominated books include "Artificial Intelligence for Children" by Professor Kim Daesik, recommended by Kim Soyeong, author of "The World of Children," and "My Name is Jagaju," recommended by Lee Hyuna, author of "Words That Embrace Emotions," among others.
Customers who purchase nominated books worth more than 20,000 won will receive a children's reading journal, created in collaboration with illustrator Kim Godung, known for "The Library Cat." The journal comes with stickers and a completion certificate.
From April 27 to May 17, a "Selected Books Announcement and Book Gift Application" event will be held. The 24 books chosen by reader votes will be announced, and 1,000 people will be selected through a story submission event to receive books as gifts. There will also be an audiobook recommendation event based on children's personality tests, with children's audiobooks available at discounts of up to 76%.
