By reducing distribution stages through the direct transaction marketplace, the city aims to lower the burden on citizens' grocery expenses and simultaneously increase farmers' incomes, developing it into Chuncheon's unique livelihood-oriented distribution model.
The market, which was first operated last year, was held 13 times, recording sales of approximately 150 million won and achieving an 85% citizen satisfaction rate, thereby demonstrating its potential as a direct transaction marketplace.

In addition, the operational framework has shifted from government-led to private-led, establishing a more stable and sustainable foundation centered on the non-profit corporation 'Chuncheon Farmers Market.'
