Hana Bank Launches Digital "AI Pension Investment Solution" Service
Investment Strategy Proposed After Assessing Investment Preferences and Current Assets
Hana Bank announced on March 24 that it has launched an integrated "AI Pension Investment Solution" service through "NEW Hana OneQ," enabling customers to manage the entire process of their pension assets, from accumulation to withdrawal.
This service is a comprehensive pension investment management solution that considers the full lifecycle and is characterized by its availability in a non-face-to-face (digital) format. Reflecting customers' pension management goals, the AI diagnoses their investment preferences and current assets, and simultaneously provides a tailored investment portfolio as well as strategies for pension withdrawal and management.
The service is composed of two modules: the "Accumulation Phase Solution" and the "Withdrawal Phase Solution." Customers with Defined Contribution Retirement Pension (DC) or Individual Retirement Pension (IRP) plans can use the Accumulation Phase Solution by entering their retirement date, target pension assets, and contribution amount. The AI then proposes a pension accumulation portfolio consisting of five asset types—including stocks, bonds, and alternative assets—and offers consulting on goal management.
Individual IRP customers aged 55 and older can utilize the Withdrawal Phase Solution for investment management during the pension withdrawal stage. When customers set goals regarding the frequency, duration, and amount of pension withdrawals, the AI suggests a pension withdrawal portfolio composed of six asset types, including funds, ETFs, and deposits. Notably, the Withdrawal Phase Solution analyzes both the investment preferences and pension withdrawal goals to generate more than 1,000 portfolio combinations, with the available investment product candidates within the portfolios updated daily according to market conditions.
Jo Youngsoon, Deputy President of the Retirement Pension Group at Hana Bank, stated, "The core of this service is that it expands the management of customers' pension assets from simple investment products to a solution that reflects their lifecycle and pension management objectives." She added, "We will continue to proactively identify the pension management needs of 'withdrawal phase' customers and consistently introduce innovative products and services."
