The company is expanding the use of the precast concrete (PC) method, in which concrete components are pre-manufactured at factories and assembled on-site, to reduce both construction time and costs. In the large-scale mixed-use complex “Parkrosh Seoul One,” scheduled for supply in the first half of this year, a digital healthcare system in collaboration with Asan Medical Center will be introduced. Through wearable devices, residents’ health status will be analyzed in real time and personalized care will be provided.
The business structure is being diversified from the traditional focus on residential construction to include infrastructure and urban mixed-use building development. Beginning with the award of the Southern Inland Railway roadbed construction project in January, the company plans to expand into national infrastructure projects such as ports and expressways. HDC Hyundai Development Company also aims to secure new business models by entering the complex urban building remodeling market, which is considered highly challenging, through the Namsan Square Project.
This business diversification and investment in new technologies are being pursued on the back of solid performance. Last year, HDC Hyundai Development Company reported consolidated revenue of 4.147 trillion won and operating profit of 248.6 billion won. As revenue from major projects such as Seoul One IPARK, Cheongju Gagyeong IPARK 6th Complex, and Suwon IPARK City 11·12 Complexes was fully recognized, operating profit increased by 64 billion won compared to the previous year. New orders amounted to 5.8304 trillion won, achieving 124% of the annual target, and the supply of apartment units reached approximately 11,000 units.
