Yeongcheon City Council Opens 251st Extraordinary Session... Reviews 23 Items Including Appointment of Settlement Auditors
The Yeongcheon City Council, chaired by Kim Seontae, opened its 251st extraordinary session on March 20, 2026, beginning with the first plenary session and set to run for eight days until March 27.
At the first plenary session held that day, the council passed five agenda items, including the appointment of auditors for the 2025 fiscal year settlement review. Assemblyman Kim Sangho (lead auditor), tax accountant Kwon Hyukhee, and former Director of Culture, Tourism, and Welfare Lee Jongkyu were appointed as auditors.
During this extraordinary session, the detailed schedule includes standing committee activities on March 23 and 24, which are designated as recess days. The second plenary session will be held on March 27 to make final decisions on ordinance bills and other pending matters before adjourning.
During the standing committee period, a total of 23 major agenda items, including the “Partial Amendment Ordinance Bill on the Service of Local Public Officials of Yeongcheon City Council,” are expected to be thoroughly discussed.
