Samcheok City Changes Samcheok Medical Center Relocation Schedule... Sequential Move Starts April 3
Samcheok Medical Center in Gangwon-do has rescheduled its move to a new building (473 Osipcheon-ro) from the original period of March 20 to 25 to the new dates of April 3 to 8.
The relocation will begin sequentially from 5:30 p.m. on April 3 and continue until April 8, with plans to minimize any disruptions to medical services. The emergency room will resume normal operations from 5:00 p.m. on April 4, while the delivery room and operating room will open on April 6, and outpatient services will be available from April 7.
An official from Samcheok City stated, “With this relocation to the new building, we aim to enhance the quality and accessibility of public healthcare services and strengthen the stability of the local healthcare system. During the relocation period, we will operate an Emergency Medical Response Task Force to ensure the safe transfer and transportation of patients and respond to emergency cases, while also cooperating with local medical institutions and pharmacies and running a public health center situation room to minimize inconvenience for citizens.”

Meanwhile, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province is scheduled to hold a completion ceremony at 2:30 p.m. on April 1 in the lobby of the new building.
