View original imageThe 83 seasonal workers who entered the country were outstanding individuals selected through a final interview conducted in January by the Agricultural Policy Division's Manpower Support Team and the Rural Workforce Support Center, who visited the Philippines in person. These workers were chosen based on strict criteria and include many who have previously re-entered as diligent employees.
As the main farming season began, farm owners hurried to greet the workers, exchanged welcomes, listened to guidelines about standard labor contracts and insurance enrollment, and then returned home together with the workers.
Based on a survey of farm labor demand, Jinan County has received an allocation of 987 seasonal workers for 255 farms from the Ministry of Justice. The county plans to introduce 746 seasonal workers from the Philippines, as an MOU partner country, and 241 family members of marriage immigrants within the county, making every effort to ensure a stable labor supply for agricultural management.
