The city of Busan (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) will hold a municipal policy briefing session titled "Discussing Busan as a Global Hub City" at the main arena of Sajik Indoor Gymnasium at 3:20 p.m. on March 24, 2026.
This event has been organized as an interactive session where citizens can directly participate to discuss the changes and future direction of Busan's development.
The event will open with a performance by a classic jazz band and "VISTA." Videos produced by Dongseo University students and the Busan Metropolitan Government using artificial intelligence (AI) video techniques, including content highlighting "Busan, World Design Capital" and the city's ongoing transformation, will also be screened. Afterwards, citizen representatives will take the stage to share their personal experiences of Busan's changes in everyday life.
Mayor Park Hyungjoon plans to use the briefing to explain the city's recent changes and outline policy directions for advancing Busan as a global hub city.
Busan natives, including actor Byun Woomin and comedian Hong Rokki, will participate as panelists. They will discuss Busan's urban image, competitiveness from the perspective of the Seoul metropolitan area, and its potential as a global city.
There will also be time for direct dialogue with citizens during the event. Attending citizens can present their questions and suggestions regarding city governance, to which Mayor Park will respond in person.
