Lake Park and Canalway to Be Revitalized as Hubs for Relaxation, Culture, and Night Views
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on March 17 that it will expand waterfront cultural spaces at Cheongna International City’s Lake Park and Canalway.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will invest 1.3 billion won to create a waterfront-friendly relaxation space at Cheongna Lake Park, where citizens can stay and rest close to the water.
The authority plans to remodel the aging media facilities near Cheongna Lake Library, creating a canal-shaped waterway and experiential and rest areas. Curtain fountains, cooling fog systems, and shaded resting areas will be installed to provide a pleasant environment for citizens during the summer.
At night, landscape lighting will be used to create a scene where water and light come together, transforming the lake park into a new attraction where visitors can enjoy a unique atmosphere.
