Enjoy a Cup of Gabae on the Seokjojeon Terrace... Deoksugung Nighttime Tour Begins
Nighttime Tour Recreates the Korean Empire Era
Held from April 8 to May 17
The National Heritage Promotion Agency and the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center will hold the nighttime tour program "Deoksugung Seokjojeon at Night," which recreates the era of the Korean Empire, from April 8 to May 17. The program will run three times a day, every Wednesday through Sunday.
Visitors will walk through the various halls of Deoksugung Palace and move on to Seokjojeon Hall, where they will tour the interior with a professional guide. They can then enjoy beverages such as Gabae (coffee), mulberry tea, and persimmon leaf tea, along with snacks, while listening to classical music on the second-floor terrace cafe. Afterward, they can watch the original musical "That Name, Daehan," and take commemorative photos.
An official from the National Heritage Promotion Agency explained, "The tour route now includes the first-floor grand dining hall in Seokjojeon, so the total duration has been extended from 90 to 100 minutes."
Participants will be selected in advance by lottery. Each account can apply only once through the Ticketlink website from 2:00 p.m. on March 18 to 11:59 p.m. on March 24. The winners will be announced at 5:00 p.m. on March 26. From 2:00 p.m. on March 27 to March 30, each person may purchase up to two tickets. The participation fee is 35,000 won.
