"I'll Pay for the Taxi Fare"... Man in His 50s Arrested for Attempting to Abduct Minor
Charged with Attempted Abduction and Enticement of a Minor
A man in his 50s who allegedly attempted to abduct a minor by offering to pay for a taxi fare has been arrested and taken into custody.
On March 13, the Seoul Southern District Court announced that it had issued an arrest warrant for a man identified as Mr. A, who is facing charges of attempted abduction and enticement of a minor. The court cited concerns about the possibility of flight and destruction of evidence as reasons for issuing the arrest warrant.
Mr. A is accused of attempting to abduct a minor at around 12:30 a.m. on the previous day at a bus stop in Yangcheon District, Seoul, while he was intoxicated.
