Field Experience at Local Companies and Research Institutes

On March 12, Changwon Metropolitan City in Gyeongnam conducted a field trip program for 20 students from Hanil Girls' High School, visiting Donggu Enterprise and the Korea Institute of Materials Science.

View original imageThis field trip was organized by the Changwon Industry Promotion Agency as part of the Changwon-type Educational Development Special Zone project. It aimed to enhance students' understanding of local industries and provide them with opportunities for career exploration.
On this day, the students toured the production site at Donggu Enterprise and participated in a Q&A session with company officials, gaining insight into actual work at the industrial site and the necessary competencies. Afterwards, at the Korea Institute of Materials Science, they visited cutting-edge materials research facilities, deepening their understanding of future industrial technologies and research fields.
Additionally, on March 17, a field trip will be conducted for 20 students from Masan Technical High School to visit Samhyun and the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute. The students will tour industrial sites in the future mobility and defense sectors, as well as research facilities related to electrical engineering and applications, allowing them to directly observe relevant job roles and industry trends.
Jung Soongil, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, stated, "We hope that through these field trips, students will gain a better understanding of the local industry and explore potential career paths," and added, "We will continue to expand a variety of educational programs in collaboration with local companies and research institutions."

Meanwhile, Changwon City plans to further strengthen the foundation for nurturing local talent by continuously expanding career education and industry-academia-research collaboration programs linked to local industries through the Educational Development Special Zone project.
