Since signing a partnership agreement in 2010, Changwon City and NH Nonghyup Bank have been creating this accumulation fund every year, which has now reached a total of 1.34 billion won. The city incorporates this fund into its revenue budget to support a variety of projects directly related to citizens’ lives. This initiative is meaningful not only as a simple financial partnership, but also as a model of mutual growth between the local community and the financial institution.
Jeong Youngcheol, head of the Changwon branch, said, “It is even more meaningful that citizens’ card usage directly contributes to the development of the region.”
