Yangju City Begins Open Recruitment for Inaugural Board Members of Yangju Cultural Tourism Foundation
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct an open recruitment for the inaugural part-time board members of the Yangju Cultural Tourism Foundation from March 11 to March 25.
In December last year, the city enacted the "Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Yangju Cultural Tourism Foundation" and is currently proceeding with the incorporation process, aiming to launch the foundation in the second half of this year. Accordingly, the city has initiated this public recruitment to form the minimum number of inaugural board members required to hold the inaugural general meeting.
Earlier, on March 9, the city held the appointment ceremony and the first meeting of the Board Member Recommendation Committee for the Yangju Cultural Tourism Foundation, during which the committee chairperson was elected and the plan for the public recruitment of board members was reviewed and approved. The Board Member Recommendation Committee is composed of seven members—four recommended by the mayor and three by the city council—and is responsible for screening candidates for the foundation's board positions.
This open recruitment seeks to fill a total of five positions: three part-time directors and two part-time auditors. The part-time directors will serve as members of the board of directors, deliberating and making decisions on major management issues, while the part-time auditors will be responsible for auditing the foundation's work and accounting.
The application period is 15 days, from March 11 to March 25, 2026, and the second meeting of the Board Member Recommendation Committee is scheduled for March 30, during which the document screening will be conducted. After checking for disqualifications and other matters, the final appointments are planned for early April.
