Lotte Department Store announced on March 12 that it will exclusively unveil the 20th anniversary exhibition of the global fashion trend-leading media platform "HYPEBEAST" for the first time in Korea.
This exhibition, which will run from March 13 to April 16 on the 6th floor Art Hall of the Jamsil branch's Avenuel, is a global project jointly planned and presented by Lotte Department Store and HYPEBEAST. The tour exhibition is held in only four cities worldwide. Having started in New York in October last year and continued through Tokyo and Hong Kong, "Lotte Town Jamsil" has been selected as the final host, earning recognition as a leading department store representing Seoul.
HYPEBEAST is a media company founded in Canada in 2005. Covering the breadth of contemporary culture including fashion, music, and art, it has established itself as a leading trend platform attracting the attention of designers and fashion enthusiasts worldwide. Its influence is demonstrated by its 10.5 million social media followers. In the previous three exhibitions alone, it attracted tens of thousands of visitors.
The exhibition will present the "HYPEBEAST Archive," highlighting the journey of HYPEBEAST over the past 20 years. Visitors can take a comprehensive look at HYPEBEAST's evolution into a major media brand, from its first issue to the latest. In addition, the exhibition will bring together collaborative products with luxury brands and other past collaborations that have captivated the art world, evoking nostalgia among fashion enthusiasts.

Works by the sculptor Surin, who has gained prominence through collaborations with global brands such as Nike Jordan and Casetify, will be on display. In particular, a new work premiering at Lotte Department Store is expected to be a highlight of the exhibition. Based on the concept of "a journey exploring uncharted spaces," the piece depicts HYPEBEAST's trajectory landing at Lotte Town Jamsil in the form of a spaceship sculpture.
