'Kkumdori Walnut Cookies' Now Available on the Second Floor of Daejeon Station for Visitors
Expansion of Tourism, Experience, and Consumption Marketing Linked with Daejeon City Tour
'Kkumdori Walnut Cookies,' which have become a signature snack of Daejeon, will be officially sold at 'Kkumdori and Daejeon Trip' on the second floor of Daejeon Station for visitors to the city.
The entry into the Daejeon Station waiting area is significant, as it secures a sales base in a key traffic route where KTX and regular train passengers are concentrated.
In particular, it is expected to boost brand recognition and increase sales by naturally exposing 'Kkumdori Walnut Cookies' as a 'Daejeon souvenir snack' in the area most frequented by business travelers and tourists from outside the city.
During March, Daejeon City plans to expand marketing efforts by linking Kkumdori Walnut Cookies with the Daejeon City Tour experience program, combining tourism, experiential activities, and consumption.
Kkumdori Walnut Cookies surpassed cumulative sales of 300 million won just six months after their debut at the Daejeon 0:00 Festival. This local specialty project is jointly promoted by Daejeon City, Daejeon Metropolitan Self-Sufficiency Center, and two youth self-sufficiency project teams (Jung-gu and Seo-gu Walnut Cookie teams). It serves as an innovative public job model that combines city marketing with youth self-sufficiency efforts.
Kkumdori Walnut Cookies are well received for their distinctive design featuring Daejeon's representative character 'Kkumdori' and their consistent taste and quality. In particular, the four-piece product has seen steady growth in orders by meeting the demand for return gifts and affordable souvenirs.
Additionally, the third store opened near Seongsimdang, one of Daejeon's top tourist attractions, on January 15, further boosting tourist inflow. Thanks to its prime location within walking distance for Seongsimdang visitors, sales have also been on the rise.
