"I Don't Like Guys Who Use Galaxy"... Freezia's Comment Rekindles 'Phone Hierarchy' Debate
"Taking pictures of me with that phone? So annoying"
"What did the Galaxy ever do wrong?" vs. "Respecting personal opinions" – Heated debate ensues
YouTuber Freezia's comment about not preferring boyfriends who use Samsung Electronics' Galaxy phones has sparked a heated debate among netizens.
On March 8, Freezia appeared in a vlog uploaded to her own YouTube channel and said, "My sister's boyfriend uses a Galaxy folder phone, apparently. To be honest, if my boyfriend used a Galaxy? I would kind of dislike that."
She continued, "My parents also use Galaxy phones. But isn't it different between parents and a boyfriend?" She added, "The thought of him taking pictures of me with that phone is really annoying."
She went on to say, "You know how when my dad takes pictures, I end up looking super short. The color and quality of photos from a Galaxy and an iPhone are just different." In response, the friend talking to Freezia in the video replied, "But I think it's fine. The pictures my dad takes actually turn out pretty well."
After these remarks became known, some netizens criticized her, saying, "That was a careless comment," "I respect personal preferences, but she could have expressed it more gently," and "What did Galaxy ever do wrong?" On the other hand, some defended her, noting that she was simply expressing her personal taste.
Freezia gained immense popularity after appearing in the Netflix original reality show "Single's Inferno," which was released in December 2021. However, she later found herself embroiled in a so-called "fake goods controversy" after suspicions emerged that some of the accessories and clothing she had worn were counterfeit items.
