Gyeonggi Province Recruiting Beauty Companies for May Europe Export Consultation Event
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government is recruiting 10 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the beauty and cosmetics sector within the province to participate in a Europe export consultation event, supporting their entry into the European market. Applications will be accepted until March 17.
The selected companies will visit Prague, Czech Republic, and Vienna, Austria, from May 25 to 30, where they will hold one-on-one export consultation meetings with local buyers.
The consultation items will be in the beauty and cosmetics fields, and in consideration of the unique requirements of the European market, only companies that possess products registered with the European Cosmetics Notification Portal (CPNP) are eligible to apply.
Additionally, in order to select companies equipped to respond to local non-tariff barriers, preference will be given to those possessing relevant certifications from the countries to be visited, or global certifications such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the European CE marking.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government will provide various benefits to participating companies, including: ▲50% of airfare for one traveler per company (up to 800,000 won), ▲local group transportation, ▲professional one-on-one interpretation support, ▲operation of the export consultation venue, and ▲buyer matching and local marketing support. However, a portion of the airfare, accommodation fees, product sample shipping costs, and customs duties must be borne by the participating companies.
Applications can be submitted online via the Gyeonggi SMEs Portal (www.egbiz.or.kr).
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government will comprehensively evaluate applicants based on their export readiness, possession of overseas certifications, and local market potential to select the final participants.
The final selection results will be announced at the end of March.
Prior to the on-site consultations, the Gyeonggi Provincial Government plans to support companies in achieving tangible results by offering pre-briefing sessions, buyer demand analysis, and localization of marketing materials.

Park Kyungseo, Director of International Trade at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, stated, "Although the European market has high entry barriers due to strict certification systems and various non-tariff barriers, it is an important export market where the preference for K-beauty continues to grow. Based on our accumulated experience supporting market entry into Europe since 2017, we will actively support SMEs in the province to effectively overcome non-tariff barriers and establish a stable presence in the local market."
