Korea Zinc to Exhibit Secondary Battery Materials and Strategic Mineral Technologies at InterBattery 2026
InterBattery 2026 to Be Held at COEX from March 11 to 13
Eight Exhibition Zones Including Diorama, Copper Foil, and Nickel Sulfate
Korea Zinc will participate in 'InterBattery 2026,' the largest battery specialist exhibition in Korea, to showcase its capabilities in secondary battery materials and strategic mineral production.
Korea Zinc announced on March 10 that it will take part in InterBattery 2026, which will be held for three days starting March 11 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. The company has participated in the exhibition for five consecutive years since 2022.

The exhibition booth will consist of eight zones: Value Chain Diorama, Copper Foil, Nickel Sulfate & Precursors, Strategic Minerals, U.S. Integrated Smelter, 52 Years of Technology, Company Introduction, and History & Global Network. Large LED screens will also be installed on the left, right, and top of the booth.
Nine large LED screens, each about 5 meters in size, will display company introduction videos and pattern visuals representing minerals.
The diorama located at the center of the booth illustrates the value chain of the 'secondary battery materials business,' which organically advances the production of nickel sulfate, precursors, and copper foil.
In the Copper Foil zone, copper foil produced using 100% recycled electrolytic copper is on display. In the Nickel Sulfate & Precursors zone, visitors can see raw materials and product models from Korea Zinc's subsidiary KEMCO and joint venture Korea Precursor Company (KPC). The nickel sulfate produced by KEMCO serves as a raw material for the precursors manufactured by Korea Precursor Company, and the precursors produced by KPC are used as materials for cathodes, allowing visitors to intuitively understand the value chain.
Korea Zinc has given special focus to the U.S. Integrated Smelter and Strategic Minerals zones for this exhibition. In these zones, models of over ten types of non-ferrous metals and strategic minerals to be produced at the U.S. Integrated Smelter will be on display. On 2D graphic screens, the company will also present its vision to secure an additional strategic foothold in North America, thereby capturing the region's largest demand for strategic minerals and becoming a model case for Korea-U.S. supply chain cooperation.
In addition, the Company Introduction zone and others will detail Korea Zinc's technological prowess, which has driven the company to achieve a surplus for 44 consecutive years and record-high performance last year, accumulated over 52 years. Korea Zinc will also thoroughly introduce its national core technologies and the world's only integrated zinc-lead-copper process.
