In his opening address, Hyundai Wia CEO Kwon Oh-sung emphasized, "At the foundation of the 50-year history that Hyundai Wia has built are our partner companies," adding, "Partners are more than just business counterparts; they are true co-creators who contemplate technology, overcome crises, and share achievements, making Hyundai Wia what it is today."
Hyundai Wia has decided to build technological leadership together with its partners. To this end, the company will collaborate with partners from the product planning stage, jointly promote innovation in development and mass production costs, and accelerate digital transformation utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). By leveraging AI, Hyundai Wia plans to shorten development times and prevent errors in production and quality processes at their source.
Hyundai Wia will also strengthen educational support to help partner companies with AI transformation and technological advancement. Utilizing the Hyundai Motor Group Global Partnership Center, the company supports a variety of training programs that can be applied in actual work. During this year's Partnership Day, Hyundai Wia hosted a lecture on artificial intelligence by Professor Park Heejun of Yonsei University's Department of Industrial Engineering, helping partners enhance their AI and digital transformation capabilities.
Hyundai Wia is further expanding its mutual growth programs. First, the company will utilize a mutual growth fund totaling approximately 68 billion won to provide partner companies with low-interest loans. For small and medium-sized partners with annual sales below 100 billion won, all payments will be made in cash, and all payments will be made in advance during holidays. Hyundai Wia also assists its partners in safety management. Using the 'S+' experiential safety training center at its Changwon headquarters in Gyeongsangnam-do, partner company employees can receive safety training. In addition, the company offers consulting to assess and enhance on-site safety levels.
