The Cheorwon Cultural Foundation, the organizer and host of the Hantan River Ice Trekking Festival in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province, and Cheorwon County, the sponsor, held a working-level meeting on March 6 to discuss the outcomes and areas for improvement of the Cheorwon Hantan River Ice Trekking Festival.

View original imageThe evaluation meeting was also attended by the president of the Korea Festival Content Association and representatives of the festival booth operators. Together, they reviewed the overall situation of this year’s ice trekking festival, reflected on the event, and discussed areas for improvement and preparations for the next festival.
Key improvement areas discussed included: developing unique attractions exclusive to the ice trekking festival; resolving inconveniences in the operation of food booths; establishing proactive promotional strategies for the Altong Marching Contest; discovering additional programs for county residents’ participation; and creating programs to vitalize the local economy. The issues discussed will undergo further review by the Cheorwon Cultural Foundation and are planned to be reflected in the 15th Cheorwon Hantan River Ice Trekking Festival.
