Jinju City Inspects Future Aerial Vehicle Demonstration Center Site ... Strengthening Cooperation for Successful Establishment
Jinju City and Gyeongnam Technopark
Review Construction Progress and Safety Management Status
The city of Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, announced that on March 5, Mayor Joo Kyu-il and Kim Jeonghwan, President of Gyeongnam Technopark, visited the construction site of the "Future Aerial Vehicle (AAV) Demonstration Center" located in the Gasan General Industrial Complex in Ibanseong-myeon. During their visit, they checked the status of the construction progress and safety management, and discussed strategies for the successful establishment of the center and future cooperation plans.
According to the city, the Future Aerial Vehicle (AAV) Demonstration Center is scheduled to complete its building construction in the first half of this year. Following equipment performance checks and operational stabilization processes, the center is expected to begin full-scale operations by the end of this year.

This is expected to reduce the burden on companies caused by relocating test sites, shorten development periods, lower costs, and ultimately improve the efficiency of testing and demonstration processes.
Going forward, Jinju City plans to actively attract related institutions and companies centered around the demonstration center, developing the Gasan General Industrial Complex area into a hub for the production and demonstration of future aerial vehicle industries.
Mayor Joo Kyu-il emphasized, "The Future Aerial Vehicle (AAV) Demonstration Center is a core infrastructure for Jinju City to lead the era of future air mobility. We will do our utmost to ensure the center is established and operated stably through close cooperation with Gyeongnam Technopark, so that it can become a new engine for regional economic growth."

Meanwhile, Jinju City is reviewing a follow-up project to gradually enhance and expand the functions of the demonstration center by adding a "safety evaluation" function, and is also actively seeking to secure national funding. On March 4, the city held an expert advisory meeting in the future aviation sector, during which they reviewed the direction for introducing the safety evaluation function, checked supplementary measures to be included in the national funding project, and discussed implementation strategies.
